If you're looking for a very unique and interesting variegated Hosta to light up the sunny or shady areas of your gardens look no further. Guacamole forms impressive mounds of very large and attractive chartreuse-gold leaves with irregular deep bluish-green margins. In summer, highly fragrant, white to lavender trumpet shaped flowers the hummingbirds can't resist rise above the foliage on tall stalks. We've grown and planted a lot of Hosta in our gardens over the years and 'Guacamole' has been one of the best all-time performers among the variegated cultivars. It will tolerate more sun than most hostas, though we do suggest some filtered sun or shade during the mid-afternoon hours in the South.
