The no-nonsense ductile iron drain grate fits onto a 12 in. square catch basin drain, riser, or low-profile adapter to drain away heavy flows of water from driveways, parking lots, and landscaped areas. The 12x12 catch basin drain grate is made of heavy-duty ductile iron. Iron grates will rust over time, forming a protective iron-oxide patina that begins red-orange and ages to a deep, rich brown. NDS iron grates are lightly painted black to inhibit rust formation for shipping and storage purposes only.
