Pleated filters are the best method for filtering dirt, sand, silt and sediment or as a pre-filter for a larger system. These outperform other depth type sediment filter elements because they have dramatically increased surface area, which means they deliver much longer life. Lower pressure drop (another significant advantage of pleated filters) allows for increased flow rates and the use of smaller filter housings to reduce equipment costs. Further savings are provided because our 100% synthetic filter media is cleanable, five micron and up, to lower cartridge replacement costs.

Suggested tightening torque for a standard fitting using one thread seal material is 80lbf-in inch pounds. To avoid the female threads to crack over time, user should finger tighten the fitting, then add one or two turns, no more. This torque is a lot less than that apply to metal NPT threads.
