This valve box features the patented Universal Locking Mechanism (ULM) that enables the valve box cover to be secured without the use of a nut and works with a variety of bolts and screws (5/16 to 3/8 in. diameter, minimum 1-1/2 in. length); cover can also be bolted down using the built-in speed nut shelf with nut and bolt if desired (nut and bolt not included). The rugged enclosure has a pipe hole to enable water and irrigation pipe connections. The overlapping cover prevents dirt and debris from entering the valve box. The bayonet twist-lock lid features two finger indentations to allow the lid to be easily removed or attached onto the box. The green valve box cover is marked "IRRIGATION CONTROL VALVE" for component identification. The irrigation valve box is made of polypropylene (PP) and the cover is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), both treated with UV inhibitors.
