Harrell's Professional Fertilizer 0-20-20, 50lb

Use zero nitrogen fertilizers for a few reasons. Two common ones are winterizing, and fertilizing clover. The majority of the value of the application will benefit the root system, which will continue to grow usually through Thanksgiving, in most years.

It is applied in the fall months leading up to winter. The idea being that there’s not a lot of vegetative growth occurring during winter, so plants don’t need nitrogen.

A lot of people fertilize clover to attract white-tail deer or turkeys. The animals love clover, it’s packed with nutrients and a really good food source.
