Mini™ Channel Drain Grate, 2-3/4 in. wide X 1 ft. long, Decorative Botanical Design, Cast Iron

The sturdy and stylish Mini™ Channel Decorative Grate made of heavy-duty cast iron has grate openings in a botanical design. The drain grate stops leaves and debris in stormwater from infiltrating and clogging the pipeline. Works with the Mini Channel Drain for light flows from concrete & paver patios, driveways, tennis courts, and walkways. The Mini Channel Drain Grate in cast iron is built to stand up to the elements and will rust over time, forming a protective iron-oxide patina that’s red-orange and ages to a deep, rich brown. NDS iron grates are lightly painted black for shipping and storage purposes only to inhibit rust formation. Mini Channels are part of the NDS Profile Series™ Channel.

sump basin in the crawl space

I am using it under the house as a sump basin for a small crawl space here is Southern California. It was the smallest basin I found and it has a pvc feel to it vs rubbery. Using a graduated drill head placed about 20, 5/16” Holes per side without it cracking. I think it is 1/8 thick. Placed a little giant pump 5 ASP-LL model 505717 in it. Fit perfectly. The cover fits perfectly and we drilled 2 round holes in it. The base is 10 7/8” per side. From bottom to below lip is 13”. Wrapped with geotextile fabric and placed on sand, surrounded by 3/4 “ washed gravel. The shipping was fast and product was in perfect condition
