According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), “sixty percent of all playground injuries sustained, where involved with equipment, occur as a result of a fall to the surface.” At Cowart we recognize the value of play, while understanding the importance of safety in our playgrounds. Our playground surfacing material, KID-SAFE™, is a finely ground hardwood mulch manufactured specifically for use of all outdoor playgrounds.

Product Information
KID-SAFE™ is an all-natural product made from recycled hardwood. This product is not produced from pallet material, so it is free from chemicals and other contaminants that may be harmful to children. The recommended installation depth of KID-SAFE™ is 12” and should never be installed on hard surfaces such as asphalt, cement, dirt or grass where it is to be used as a playground for children. Maintenance includes raking the material regularly and adding material as needed to meet the requirements for safe play.

Local Delivery is offered and calculated based on local zip codes near our brick store location. A $200 minimal order is required to enable this option at checkout. 

Local Delivery items arrive via our single axle trucks, driveway or curb only delivery. We do not recommend mixing loose goods such as mulch, sand, gravel, etc. due to contamination. These should be ordered separately. We do not offer an unloader option.
