The body is tapered and has a double wall at the top cover seat area, with 10 structural support ribs on the underside of the seat for added strength. The bottom of the body features a flange to anchor the box in place, reduce the risk of the box sinking into soft soil over time, and to form a barrier to minimize dirt and debris from entering from underneath. Drop-in cover has a marking for "CONTROL VALVE" to identify components. Both the box and lid are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) treated with UV inhibitors.
