To place an order using Order Pickup:

  2. Proceed to checkout and select Pick up and submit order.
  3. Wait until you receive a pickup notification before you go to the store to pick up your item(s).
  4. Bring your confirmation email when you come to collect your order.

Local Delivery items arrive via our single axle trucks, driveway or curb only delivery. We do not recommend mixing loose goods such as mulch, sand, gravel, etc. due to contamination. These should be ordered separately. We do not offer an unloader option.

King's Gold False Cypress is a ground-hugging mound that is truly mop-like, with stringy leaves that color best in full sun. This evergreen is a superior accent to add contrast to dwarf green conifer plantings. This plant is tailored for rock gardens and slope plantings as well as Asian garden schemes.

  • Chamaecyparis King's Gold is easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Best in part shade.
  • Prefers moist, fertile soils. Avoid wet, poorly-drained soils.
  • Shelter from strong winds.
  • Pruning is rarely needed.
    New growth foliage emerges bright gold but eventually matures to lime green.
  • Very slow growing, typically reaching only 3-5' tall in 10 years. May eventually reach a mature size of 8' tall and 12' wide, but can easily be kept smaller with minimal pruning.
  • Species and large growing cultivars for lawn specimen, shrub borders and screen.
  • Dwarf cultivars for rock gardens, foundation plantings or specimen.
  • Golden foliage provides year-round interest.
