An interesting accent or groundcover due to its prostrate arching branches that display a herringbone pattern. Dainty leaves are edged in white, shaded pink to red in fall. Colorful orange red fall foliage backs shiny red fruit. Thrives in cool summer areas and adapts well to coastal conditions. Deciduous.

Average Size at Maturity Slow growing 2 to 3 ft. tall, 5 to 8 ft. wide.

Design Ideas Lovely white variegation on this valuable low growing shrub. Plant as a groundcover or where it can spread its herringbone branches up against the wall. Pruning damages its fine form. Red berries are a fine addition to the winter landscape.
