Not only beautiful, super-hardy and long-lived, the Autumn Fern is evergreen! 'Autumn Brilliance' is a selection adored for its its particularly attractive and longer lasting and brighter spring frond color. New fronds unfurl in striking shades of orange-red to copper-pink before eventually maturing to glossy deep green by summer and often back to orange-red after first fall frost. Young sori are covered by bright red indusia. Growing in a vase shape to about 2 feet tall and equally as wide, Autumn Brilliance Fern is equally at home in containers as it is in garden beds and tolerates a little more sun than many other shade loving ferns.
