Beardless, dark purple blooms rise above refined, slender, sword-like green foliage. A stand-out in the border when planted en masse. This highly adaptable iris thrives in moist soils, where others will not. An herbaceous perennial.

Average Size at Maturity Foliage quickly reaches 2 ft. tall; flower stalks grow to 3 ft. tall.
Bloom Time Spring
Design Ideas This potent Siberian Iris will adapt to practically all garden conditions and styles. Use to simulate water in dry streambeds or around landscape boulders. Try as an equivalent to water Iris in damp spots around pools, ponds and water gardens. Although it works well in the woodland garden, where there is enough sun to accentuate its color, it's best in full sun and mixed into wild meadow stands. An exceptional reed-like plant for emerald-green antique ceramic pots and urns.
