A large-leafed, high-yielding perennial white clover ideal for livestock pasture and wildlife food plots. This vigorous variety grows 8 to 18 inches tall and produces two to four times more biomass than common white clover, making it an excellent choice for maximizing forage production and ground cover. Coated and inoculated for improved establishment and performance. It is heavily sought after for livestock pastures and wildlife food plots due to its high crude protein, exceptional digestibility, and low fiber content. Ladino clover is a powerful biological nitrogen fixer, contributing between 80 to 130+ pounds of nitrogen per acre annually, which drastically reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers.

Typical Seed Rates:

• Drilled (No-Till or Seed Drill): 3-4 lbs. per acre
• Broadcast / Cultipacker: 4-6 lbs. per acre
• Overseeding: 3-5 lbs. per acre

Starter Fertilizer: we suggest our 18-24-12 Seed Starter Formula with 25% Slow Release Nitrogen.  Apply 50-75 lbs. per acre delivers 9-13.5 lbs. of Nitrogen and 12-18 lbs. of Phosphorus.  This formula and application rate gives the seeds their root-boosting phosphorus without over-saturating them with nitrogen.

• Weed Competition:

  Any nitrogen you apply will benefit surrounding weeds and grasses before the clover's nitrogen-fixing nodules fully develop. Keep an eye on grass height and mow or graze it down if it starts shading out the emerging clover seedlings.

• Soil pH Check:

  No starter fertilizer can overcome acidic soil. Ensure your soil pH is around 6.0 to 6.8 so the clover can efficiently absorb the 24% phosphorus from this fertilizer.
