A yellow leaved Podocarpus 'Lemon Sparkler'. Not all the leaves are yellow but whenever the plant flushes new growth during the season, which is from spring well into fall, the new leaves are a striking yellow! These new leaves will eventually turn to a deep green that then serves as the perfect backdrop to show off the next flush of yellow new growth. Very easy to grow, and reaching maybe 10 feet tall and 5 to 6 feet wide when all grown up, Lemon Sparkler is an exciting and colorful specimen, grouping or natural or clipped hedge in sunny to partially shaded landscape borders and home foundation plantings. Though it will grow in mostly shade, the more sun it gets the more vivid the yellow new growth. We absolutely love the look of this new cultivar and the unique texture and eye-catching color it provides in the garden.
